Definitions

'Sealine Taxis UK LTD' refers to the Company (Company number 11180339), whose registered office is at Kemp House, 160 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX AND Operations office is at 91 Prince Charles Avenue, Minster on Sea, KENT, ME12 3PP. 'You' and 'Your' means and refers to any company, other business or any individual who places a booking with us, whether for themselves or on behalf of other individuals.

  1. Your use of Sealine Taxis UK LTD as Taxi service provider
    1. You are registered as a customer of Sealine Taxis UK LTD whenever you use one of our services. This includes and is not limited to, telephone bookings, text message bookings, Online, Use of Our official Apps or Live Chat. You are deemed to have accepted these terms when you register with us on our official app or online, or prior to making a booking.
    2. You agree:
      1. All information that you have provided to us prior to, during, or after using our service is all correct. This is and is not limited to online booking, email, official app or telephone bookings. If you have registered online or on our official Sealine Taxis UK LTD app, then this information can be updated at any time or corrected.
      2. Your use of Sealine Taxis UK LTD services grants no intellectual rights.
      3. You will not use any of Sealine Taxis UK LTD services for any other purpose other than for the purpose they are provided to you or for any unlawful purpose; in any way that damages or makes our service less effective; to access or attempt to access the data of other users.
      4. To refrain from doing anything which we reasonably believe to be disreputable or capable of damaging our reputation.
      5. To make payment in full for any cab journey you take or book on behalf of another party and/or in respect of using any Sealine Taxis UK LTD services provided to you.
      6. To treat all Sealine Taxis UK LTD drivers with respect as they are obliged to treat you and not cause damage to their vehicle nor engage in any unlawful, threatening or abusive behaviour. Any damage caused will result in the relevant charges to cover the damage.
  2. Booking
    1. It is your responsibility to ensure that the vehicle requested allows enough comfort and space for the volume of passengers and items of luggage you may have. Wheelchair accessible vehicle bookings must be specified at the time of booking.
    2. It is your responsibility to ensure that enough time is allowed for the journey required and Sealine Taxis UK LTD cannot be held responsible for any unforeseen delays to the journey such as traffic, weather or circumstances beyond our control or if passengers are not ready at the time of collection.
    3. It is your responsibility to ensure that the expected time of arrival is correct and that the correct terminal has been given, Sealine Taxis UK LTD cannot be held responsible for the ETA arrival information provided by the airlines being accurate when checking ETA arrival information. Sealine Taxis UK LTD will check with the airlines for flight delays or alterations before the driver leaves for the airport but if unable to for whatsoever reason we cannot be held responsible if the flight is delayed or arrives early. You will still be responsible for payment of the journey unless you have contacted our office in advance.
    4. Sealine Taxis UK LTD will provide you with a quotation based on the information provided at the time of booking. Sealine Taxis UK LTD will amend the quotation if there is any material change to the original booking without prior knowledge.
    5. Sealine Taxis UK LTD will not be held responsible for any delays or costs arising from your failure to provide us with correct booking information.
  3. Prices & Payments
    1. All prices are based on one collection pick up point and one drop off point, any additional stops will be charged accordingly. Entry and parking charge will be payable by the Customer as follows:

      The Customer shall pay the following drop off charges for Bookings where a drop off is made at London Stansted airport and/or London Luton airport:

    2. Car parking charges, tolls or drop off fees are in addition to the original price quoted.
    3. The collection fare for airports includes an initial 30 minutes waiting time. Waiting time, if incurred will be charged at £18.00 per hour in 15 minute increments for all vehicle types. This will begin 30 minutes from the original scheduled flight time.
    4. No charge will be made to a credit/debit card until the journey is completed unless advised at the time of booking or when booking online.
    5. Credit/Debit card details will be required on all long-distance journey's as security for the driver.
    6. A £5.00 surcharge is made each way for storing all child seats.
    7. Sealine Taxis UK LTD reserves the right to request Identification from a passenger when booking with credit/debit cards.
    8. Management reserve the right to charge an administration fee if a booking is cancelled through no fault of our own and at the request of the customer. The amount charged is at the discretion of The Management team.
    9. Fare Chart Applicable to journeys within the Swale Borough Council area

      MILEAGE:

      If the distance does not exceed 200 metres for the whole distance £2.80
      If the distance exceeds 200 metres - for the first 200 metres £2.80 For each subsequent 88 metres or uncompleted part thereof £0.10

    10. WAITING TIME:

      For each period of 1 minute or uncompleted part thereof £0.30 EXTRA CHARGES:

      For hiring’s begun between 11pm and 6am and for Bank Holidays (including Easter Sunday) and between 6pm and 11pm on 24 December (excluding 11pm 24 December to 6am 27 December and 6pm 31 December to 6am on 1 January) +50% of above charges.

      The fares for distance will be DOUBLED between 11 pm on 24 December and 6am on 27 December and between 6pm 31 December and 6am on 1st January.

      For additional passengers in excess of 4, or for a specific request to hire a vehicle with more than 4 passenger seats (excluding wheelchair users accompanied by less than 4 other passengers) + 50%

      When a cab is hired by distance it is an offence for the proprietor or driver to demand and take fare greater than that shown on the taximeter. Any discount given to the customer must be discounted from the amount shown on the meter.

  4. FARES FOR TIME

    If the Cab is hired by time the fare shall be agreed with the hirer at the commencement of the hiring

  6. Cancellation
    1. If you need to cancel your booking, please contact Sealine Taxis UK LTD as soon as possible. If the vehicle has already been dispatched, then a charge will be incurred equal to the distance travelled by the driver to the collection point. If a charge is then made to a credit or debit card held as security only, this charge will incur a 5% surcharge.
    2. A refunds policy will only be offered on a discretionary basis following a letter of dissatisfaction with the service provided. If Management agree a payment is to be refunded, Sealine Taxis UK LTD will make the refund back to the credit/debit card from which the original payment was made within 48 hours. A cheque will be made to the named cardholder only if this service is unavailable.
    3. Management reserve the right to charge an administration fee if a booking is cancelled through no fault of our own and at the request of the customer. The amount charged is at the discretion of The Management team.
  7. Conduct
    1. Smoking, drinking and eating is not permitted in the vehicles. You will be charged £80.00 to cover valeting costs in the unlikely event of the vehicle being soiled by a passenger.
    2. Sealine Taxis UK LTD are permitted by law to carry only passengers as allowed by the licence and insurance. Your journey will be refused if passengers are in excess of the allowance.
    3. Sealine Taxis UK LTD are only permitted to take passengers through booked only jobs.
    4. You will be held responsible for the behaviour of each passenger in the vehicle during the journey. You will indemnify Sealine Taxis UK LTD against all losses, expenses, costs or damages caused by the actions of a passenger you are responsible for.
  8. Termination
    1. Sealine Taxis UK LTD has the unconditional right to terminate or refuse any booking with immediate effect when it places the driver at risk of abuse, violence or damage by either you or any passenger for whom you are responsible. No refunds will be given under any circumstances if the journey is terminated in this respect part way through the hire.
  9. Liability
    1. All luggage items are carried entirely at your own risk.
    2. Sealine Taxis UK LTD will not be responsible for installing baby or child seats into a vehicle. This is the responsibility of the parent or person responsible for the child at the time of the journey.
    3. Sealine Taxis UK LTD has the right to cancel all services and provide refunds in the event of extenuating circumstances beyond our control such as terrorist attack, riot, national emergency, national disaster or war.
    4. Sealine Taxis UK LTD will endeavour to arrange an alternative vehicle as soon as is practicable if your vehicle breaks down and get you to your destination. Sealine Taxis UK LTD will not be held responsible for any losses, costs, expenses or damages resulting from the breakdown of a vehicle.
    5. Sealine Taxis UK LTD will endeavour get you to your destination on time, we cannot be held responsible for any losses whatsoever for conditions such as heavy traffic that are beyond our control during the journey. There is no circumstance under which any factors out of our control will cause Sealine Taxis UK LTD to be liable for any personal loss or business loss whatsoever such as loss of profits.
  10. Miscellaneous
    1. Under this agreement, Sealine Taxis UK LTD can subcontract its obligations. You shall not assign, transfer or delegate any of your rights or obligations under this agreement.
    2. Sealine Taxis UK LTD shall store, process and use all information regarding your personal details in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
    3. Sealine Taxis UK LTD reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. You are responsible for reviewing these conditions periodically to ensure that you are aware of any changes posted online.
    4. This agreement and any accompanying price quotation represent the entire agreement between you and Sealine Taxis UK LTD in relation to its subject matter. If there is any discrepancy between the terms of this agreement and the quotation, then the terms of this Agreement shall prevail.
    5. Nothing in this Agreement is intended to confer any benefit on any third party, whether pursuant to the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or otherwise, and no third party shall have the right to enforce any rights under this Agreement except where otherwise agreed in writing.
  11. Disputes
    1. This agreement shall be construed in accordance with English Law and you and Sealine Taxis UK LTD each agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts in respect of any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this agreement.
